The most important part of my job as a stylist is to bring out my client’s natural style, I introduce different brands and various ways-to-wear pieces that my clients instinctively lean towards. Faye’s personal style is a definite mix of modern tailoring, clean colour-ways and minimalist accessories, and so when Dior got back to me about dressing Faye for this particular event, it felt SO right. We spent the entire fitting dancing around my studio in Dior and Louboutin’s whilst eating custard-creams and sipping tea… heaven!
Despite its monochromatic tones, this look has an air of spring about it, a freshness that compliments Faye’s love for tailored styles. Dior nails clean cut tailoring season after season, and Raf Simmons spoke of this SS16 collection as “a calm one, and very soft—away from the overdone. There’s a bit of Victoriana: something of that film Picnic at Hanging Rock. With a slight sexual undertone of darkness.” In L.O.V.E.
