This week I had the pleasure of styling the beautiful actress Lucy Boynton for the Deauville and Toronto Film Festivals. Lucy was celebrating her latest movieSing Street and promoting her upcoming role in ‘I am the pretty thing that lives in the house’Click through to see all of Lucy’s looks and read my style notes.

For the first look Lucy wore a stunning champagne pink gown by Miu Miu. The dress was from the brands one-of-a-kind evening-wear collection. We chose this particular style because it seemed to suit Lucy’s love of vintage inspired pieces perfectly through its peachy colour-way, embroidered floral fabric and pearl encrusted waistline. A fitted sheath style gown like this one is perfect for a red carpet or black tie event because it clings to the figure in all the right places. Opting for a low V-neck style will help elongate your figure, adding a detail to the neckline such as the light organza ruffle on Lucy’s dress will help soften the over-all look.

For the second look Lucy wore an icy-blue A-line style from Tommy Hilfiger’s Autumn Winter collection. Inspired by the classic 50’s silhouette, this dress oozes vintage without looking like it comes from a thrift store. It represents true Hollywood Glamour; Elegance, timelessness and femininity.

Continuing with the vintage vibe, our third look was a printed dress from Anna Sui’s Autumn Winter collection. I love everything about this design, from the mix of graphical and painted floral-prints, to the delicate silk ruffled cuffs and collar detail, it epitomises romance through an air of the seventies ‘peace is love’. A colour-way of rusty autumnal reds look beautiful against Lucy’s complexion and add a bit of depth to the look.

This was one of our favourite dresses from the fitting, I sourced it from one of London’s top Vintage boutiques ‘One Vintage Designs’. It is the perfect little cocktail number, a simple shift dress made stunning through embroidered fabric and gem-stoned collar details. The dress has something very current about it, it wouldn’t look out of place in the Gucci or Miu Miu 2016 collections. I love to add a bit of fun through shoes, although this dress would look stunning with a simple open-toe heeled sandals, these jewel encrusted Louboutin’s add a little personality.
