With the turn of a new year comes the turn of a mandatory new year work-out regime; Researched fitness programs are put into place, healthier meals are recorded and all beauty products are upgraded. 2017 is a particularly important year for me to take control of my fitness and general well-being routine. I’ve started the 6 month countdown to my wedding day and I’m determined to feel the best I can in the dress of my dreams! There is no denying the effect chic activewear can have on ones motivation, it can instill a positive pre-work out state-of-mind. I’m all for championing new brands, I just think that there is more fun to be had then sticking to a Nike or Adidas work-out wardrobe, and so to get you through the gym doors this January, I’ve put together 5 high-quality, stylish gym-bound brands that will get you to the gym looking stylish and ready.
Nobody’s Child is a playful fast-fashion brand that has some serious style credentials; the cuts are current, the fabrics are high-quality, and the price point is on point. But perhaps the most enticing element of NC is however it’s ethical core. Nobody’s Child is living proof that you can succeed as a fast-fashion brand whilst maintaining an ethical manufacturing practice. NC dye their own fabrics, design and produce their own prints, and manufacture their clothes in their own factories. They control the entire process and as a consumer that impresses me greatly.
It’s important to me that I have a thread of eco-fashion brands running through-out my blog. Working as a stylist I feel a responsibility to explore and suggest brands that are ethically made and cruelty free. For me, ‘fast-fashion’ seems to have gained a negative connotation with ‘throw-away fashion’, and I’ve come to learn that when purchasing wardrobe-wears I want them to have longevity in both style and daily wear-and-tear. With that in mind, and in celebration of world vegan month, it felt appropriate for this weeks Lines to Love to be of pure vegan orientation! I hit the jack-pot when I stumbled across RAFA, an LA based luxury vegan brand that will make your feet effortlessly chic and guilt-free! All products are designed and hand-crafted by a group of 20 artisans in Los Angeles, using ecological friendly materials and sustainable processes.
Stone Cold Fox is one of my all time favourite go-to fashion brands (and that’s quite the statement)! Fusing vintage materials and boho-prints with current and chic silhouettes, SCF epitomises my ideal wardrobe-wears; And Just when I thought I couldn’t fall any deeper in love with the brand, they throw bridal gowns and home-wear into the mix! I have an un-controllable weakness for all their styles, and so naturally it’s about time I include them in my Lines-to-Love.
